Arch. Eng. Georgi Kolarov is the owner and manager of Bulgarconsult A&E and initiator of the establishment of Bulgarian Green Building Council as well the president of the Council. In his early professional stage, he has worked on numerous projects in North and Central Africa, the Middle East and the Federal Republic of Germany. The creative contact to architects like arch. Kano Dundakov and arch. Chudomir Pavlov have greatly influenced his professional development. Later in collaboration with Arch. Wolfgang Grosner from Hamburg he acquires the necessary corporate culture and manner of operation, which gives him a particular place in the Bulgarian architectural market.
Currently arch. Kolarov has focused his efforts on the development of sustainable construction practices in Bulgaria and their imposition as a business approach with no alternative. As a president of Bulgarian Green Building Council that works closely with the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), he initiates and controls the development of a National certification system for sustainable buildings, based on European best practices.
Arch. Kolarov believes that this is a turning point in the changing of construction market.
His philosophy is based on the integration of environmental and social responsibility and economic viability.
Arch. Kolarov believes that respecting of the client’s wishes, the right estimate of location and the architect‘s philosophy and creativity are among the most important aspects for the success of each project.
